Community Involvement

Stray Dog Strut 5k Road Race

Jones Bridge Animal Hospital is on the run!

Our annual Stray Dog Strut 5K road race is an opportunity for us to connect with our client families and community in a family-friendly tradition.

Each year, we invite clients and their families to bring their cuddly canine companions to participate in our 5K race and race-day activities. All attendants are welcome to volunteer, participate, or donate. All proceeds from the day's events go toward helping Atlanta-area rescue animals receive medical care, shelter, and the companionship they need until their permanent homes are found. We have raised over $20,000 since our inaugural event in 2011.

Each registered runner is eligible to win an award based on his/her overall time in various categories and individual age groups. Other events include a 'Best Pet Costume' contest for runner participants and a children's "Tot Trot". Participants receive a commemorative t-shirt and race packet filled with goodies. All participants, friends, and family are invited to stay after the race for refreshments and activities for the entire family.

Community Support

Outside of our fundraising work for shelters, Jones Bridge Animal Hospital supports local area schools through auctions, fundraisers, and various sports programs. We cherish our community, and we are always happy to get involved and give back.
