Hypothyroidism is a life-long condition and requires daily medication.  It is important that pets on thyroxine have their thyroid levels checked every 6 months to ensure they are getting the correct dosage.

Medication used:  Thyroxine Tablets

Monitoring: 

      -Recheck Thyroid Level (T4) 4 weeks after starting medication               

      -Recheck Thyroid Level every 6 months to renew refills
